Company History

1962

Founding & Early Years

Founded as Symetrics Engineering Corp. in Brevard County, Florida, the business was originally focused on the design and manufacturing of complex electronic systems and assemblies for government and defense applications. In 1970 the company was renamed Symetrics Industries Inc. to better reflect the broad scope of the business. Symetrics manufactured aircraft radio antennas, large antennas and control units for maritime applications and electronic training devices for the military. After some restructuring activities, Symetrics began its second venture into commercial products in the early 1980s with a security monitoring system intended for hotels, condominiums and other multi-unit dwellings.
