Improved Data Modem

The Improved Data Modem (IDM) products provide a data link capable of passing data between air and ground systems as well as vital air-to-air data between IDM equipped aircraft. The IDM utilizes multiple, independent radio types (HF, UHF, VHF and SATCOM) as well as Blue Force Tracker and IP network connectivity to send mission critical, secure data.

The following protocols are supported depending on the specific product: AFAPD, TACFIRE, MTS, IDL, MIL-STD-188-220 and PTAC
